About the Staff

An important component of your treatment is our office staff and the environment that they create for you. Each member of Dr. LoPrete’s dedicated, professional staff has many years of training and experience. They choose to work with Dr. LoPrete because they share his vision of perfection in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Taking the time to listen to each patient, they treat them as they would like to be treated. Our staff is wonderful!

Hazel, Financial Coordinator

I have served dentists and their patients for over 30 years. I graduated from college as a certified dental assistant. My career has evolved in the dental field from assistant to appointment and financial coordinator, then office manager to Insurance Claim Analyst. All these titles have one thing in common. That is you! My goal is to make you smile and help you obtain dental treatment that you want. Whether it is to relieve pain, to maintain good oral health through regular checkups or to help you achieve that cosmetic smile enhancing your personal image, I will do my best. I will work together with you as we find the financial method to achieve your dental needs. A strong personal belief of mine is that patients should be treated as if they were guests in my home. I hope you feel that way when you enter this office.

I have been in the dental profession since 1985 and with Dr. LoPrete since 2004. In my 20+ years experience in the dental field, I have never seen an office as well organized and as focused as Dr. LoPrete’s practice is. I enjoy learning new methods of patient care and sharing my experience with each member of our patient family. I am dedicated to our patients’ continued oral health and enjoy seeing all of our patients during their visits.

Peggy, Dental Hygienist

I graduated in 1983 from Ferris State College. With the exception of six months off for each of my two children, I have worked continuously. I have been employed by Dr. LoPrete since 1990 and have seen patients who were once children become young adults. Although I don’t feel like I have aged, patients will look at my children’s photos on the wall and say, “I remember when they were babies!”

Besides working four days a week for Dr. LoPrete, I am employed with DEXIS digital x-ray systems as a certified trainer. One day a week, I travel to other dental offices to teach their staffs to use the digital radiography. In 2000, Dr. LoPrete was one of the first dentists in the state to use this innovative system. The advantages of DEXIS are the 70-90% decreases in radiation exposure to our patients and our ability to manipulate the image to enhance diagnosis.

I have had the chance to build many relationships and friendships during the years. When I see your name on the schedule, I have the pleasure of helping maintain your oral health and keeping your beautiful smile, plus the added benefit of “catching up” with you since your last appointment.

Dr. LoPrete has given me many opportunities to expand my abilities both technologically and educationally. We have similar philosophical and ethical beliefs that create a good working environment. Dr. LoPrete has given me a chance to learn every aspect of the office, giving me a thorough understanding of every detail it takes to run a successful business. I truly enjoy being part of this team.

Susie, Dental Hygienist

I attended Loyola University, New Orleans and graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. During my career as a hygienist, I have practiced in pediatric, periodontal and general dentistry offices. I have enjoyed employment in Florida, Louisiana and Michigan.

I began working with Dr. LoPrete in 1995 as a part-time hygienist. Dr. LoPrete has given me the opportunity to attend numerous continuing education courses so that I may stay abreast of the current practices in dentistry. The working environment of Dr. LoPrete’s office is one that is professional and ethical. I have worked with the most advanced equipment and instruments. For example, we are provided with magnification glasses equipped with line-of-site illumination. The increased visibility allows us unsurpassed attention to detail in your treatment. The years that I have worked with Dr. LoPrete have been very rewarding. It is my pleasure being a hygienist on the dental team that you have chosen to care for your dental health.

Kathe, Dental Hygienist

I’ve been working in a dental office since I was 15 when I was part of a two-person office, the doctor and myself. I pursued my B.S. in dental hygiene at the University of Michigan and worked for years in a periodontal office in Dayton, Ohio before returning to Michigan. I have worked full-time and part-time while raising three wonderful children to become awesome adults residing in Chicago, San Francisco, and East Lansing.

I continue my hygiene career part-time. When not working in Dr. LoPrete’s office, you might find me subbing for other dental practices around the Metro area. I enjoy teaching the importance of flossing (!) and the importance of good oral care in maintaining good physical health. A healthy mouth is SO important. One of my greatest challenges is to improve a patient’s oral care habits. I also have branched out into marketing and spreading the word that our office is on the cutting-edge in the ever-expanding world of dental technology and discovery. I love meeting each new person along the way!

Sandy, Treatment Coordinator

I have worked in the dental field since 1997. I began as a receptionist for a dentist that noticed my fascination with dentistry. He trained me as a dental assistant. Through the years I have completed dental assistant classes, including certification in radiology and CPR. I also attended Oakland Community College to further my education.

My experience ranges from oral surgery and orthodontics to cosmetic and general dentistry. I have had the opportunity to work with other dentists and Dr. LoPrete is one of a kind. For the last five years, I have been happy to work beside him delivering exceptional quality patient care. Working with and helping people are what I enjoy doing most. I care for our patients and have developed fulfilling relationship within this dental practice. When it’s time for your appointment, I always look forward to seeing you and your family and to catch up with you.

I would like all patients to know that if any acquaintance or loved one is looking for a dentist, they need to see Dr. LoPrete because he is the best dentist in Oakland County! I believe that we have the best high tech dental facility in the area! We truly appreciate your referrals. I enjoy meeting the people you care about and know in our practice. That is pretty cool!

While in high school, I chose to work in the dental profession. Finishing my dental assistant training, I started working for Dr. L. Morton in 1983. I continued to work in the same dental office for the next twenty-one years until he retired and sold the practice. I recently accepted a position working for Dr. LoPrete. It is a great experience to learn and work with the newest technology in dentistry. I enjoy working with Dr. LoPrete and his staff. Every one here is professional and enthusiastic about each patient. I enjoy meeting new people and it is my goal to make each dental visit a positive experience.

I’ve been in the dental field for over 25 years. In Brazil, I had my own practice as a dentist, specializing in Prosthodontics and Temporal Mandibular Joint Treatment. Here in the U.S., I’m working as a dental assistant for Dr. LoPrete. It is a pleasure working in an environment with advanced technology, outstanding professional competence, and an excellent staff. If you are a foreigner in the U.S. and speak Portuguese or Spanish, I can assist you during your dental visits with communication and translation issues.
