First Visit

When you arrive for your first visit, please bring complete medical and dental health information that will allow us to begin your dental treatment. If you have not received them in the mail, we will ask you to fill out several forms that will acquaint you with our office.

Your initial exam will last approximately one hour. In most cases, we will take all necessary digital X-rays, review your medical and dental history and discuss your existing dental conditions. We will listen carefully to your concerns and goals and then after our professional input, we will make suggestions for your treatment. Often we will appoint you for a second visit to discuss your individual treatment plan.

At this second visit, we will evaluate and explain complex conditions that present multiple treatment options or require careful prioritizing. We believe the better you understand your dental health and your options, the better the choices you will make for your care. We will also schedule an appointment for your prophylaxis or periodontal care at this visit.
